# skill.detail

> Retrieves one skill's details and a temporary download URL for its current archive.

> [!TIP]
>
> **Auth:**
>
> * **API Key:** Any skill the user can download in Manus: own, team, project (read access), official, installed Hub, and authorized App skills.
> * **Standard OAuth client:** Requires `create_task` or `manage_all_tasks`. Only skills owned by this App; other IDs return `NotFound` (HTTP 404).
> * **Trusted client:** Same as API Key.

The endpoint returns one skill's metadata and a download link for its current archive. Download the archive and read `SKILL.md` inside it when you need the skill's front matter or files. The download link expires after 24 hours; call `skill.detail` again for a new link. Earlier versions are not returned. Use [skill.list](https://open.manus.ai/docs/v2/skill.list.md) to get skill IDs.
